Here is what to expect from each level:
Beginner: Participants will learn essential skills including paddling, catching waves, navigating the inside break, and mastering the pop-up with correct form. Our program balances fun and hard work, instilling a positive mindset that extends beyond the water.
Transitional: This category is for surfers on hard boards who can surf 2-5 ft outside waves. This program will be guided by a coach in the water with a focus on paddling, duckdiving, reading waves, and starting bottom and top turn maneuvers. Surfers must be able to get back to the outside to their coach. There will be a major focus on technique to help instill a good foundation.
Intermediate: For surfers who can surf 2-6ft waves with a focus on developing stronger maneuvers. These surfers are connecting a variety of maneuvers and are looking for an edge to up their game in the water. All of our intermediate classes will review with our coaches every 20-25 minutes. The review is a key tool to identify areas to improve upon, allowing them to paddle back out and apply the advice. This process repeats until the class is over.
