At Orange County Surf Coaching we believe surfing should be an enjoyable experience and surfings greatest value is the role it plays in the development of character and life skills. Our goal is to embody the statement above and to provide a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all surfers. Simply put “Surfing Is For Everyone”
Our program teaches individuals more than just surfing, we install a mindset that will be carried into everyday life and the future. We teach our participants time management skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and communicational skills that they will carry in and outside of the water. At Orange County Surf Coaching we find the balance between having a great time and working hard. We also want to mold well-rounded surfers, water safety, but more importantly than that we want to help everyone strive to be the best human they can be.
Christian is our lead coach and will facilitate the majority of lessons. As a Family Man and father to a 2 year old son Christian understands the needs of children and the impact a coach can have on youth and adult lives as a mentor, leader, and person of inspiration. His role as president is to find growth in all areas but his moral responsibility and role is to be a beacon to the community, children, teens, adults, and others.
Jake saenz has a great tie to the Huntington Beach Community. As a current youth leader pastor at First Christian Church, former National Scholastic Surfing Association Air Show Champion, and former surf judge his knowledge runs deep both in and out of the water. As a youth leader Jake specifically has the role of working with youth. He has successfully managed church camps from the ocean to mountains and lakes across the united states.
Chris has worked in the surf industry for over 35 years. Former buyer for Huntington surf and sport (1984-2017) and a beacon for the Huntington Beach community as an advocate of stoke in the surf community, his roots run deep in surf culture, heritage, and knowledge. Chris is a father of three and grandfather to one grandson. He has impeccable management skills and is great with the youth. His energetic personality is contagious and embraces the youth to get excited to surf.
Keith is a world class photographer and videographer who has worked with industry leaders such as Nike, Under Armour, Tampa Airport and many others in creating commercials, advertisements, and creative director on big shoots and campaigns. Keith’s skills will be a very exciting part to Orange County Surf Coaching’s success digitally. Keith moved to Huntington Beach in 2016 from Florida with his wife and 2 daughters. His management skills as a business owner, father, and photographer are second to none. We also consider Keith to be one of the nicest guys you will ever encounter.
His video analysis has been a special tool and key component for improvement because my son can grasp the technical advise and view it on camera moments after riding a wave, making the process streamlined. I highly recommend his service to any organization or surfers looking for a great professional service.
